Overview

This retreat will allow you to experience the Spirit Vine and her companion plants in the exotic jungle of the Peruvian Amazon connecting you more strongly with Pachamama in harmony with the Universal Spirit. This type of transformational work is not to be taken lightly – We must prepare our bodies, minds, and souls. A traditional diet of this type asks that you adhere to certain guidelines up to four weeks before and four weeks after the events. Please review the instructions often and ask questions along the way.

Highlights

Ceremonies & Purges

Ceremonies & Purges

We will share five ceremonies and will begin with a deep cleanse. To start, we will practice a three-day Tobacco tea purge. The Great Teacher Tobacco is an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and sedative that helps to remove heavy energies and liquid from the body through purging, and it greatly prepares the mind and body for more intensive journeys. We will continue to cleanse throughout the dieta with flower baths made with local plants, flowers, and perfumes.

Master Plants

Master Plants

A key component of a traditional dieta such as ours is work with Master Plants. These are powerful Amazonian medicine plants that work together to enhance your healing. We will help you choose which plant to learn from based on your physical and spiritual condition and you will drink a liter of its tea every day. Additionally, we will work with sacred Peruvian tobacco called Mapacho. Our tradition uses it as arcana, or protector, by blowing its smoke in prayer. We also use mapacho mixed with other herbs in snuff form, known as rapé. We will offer this and strong eye drops from the sanango plant through the retreat.

Healing Music

Healing Music

Learning to sing Icaros - powerful healing chants or songs - is one of the most important components of ceremonial work. We will have shamanic music workshops where you can learn these and other healing songs, and we will practice them during our ceremonies. We will also offer visionary art workshops where you can learn to capture your visions in paintings, led by Moisés, an artist with more than 25 years of experience.

Diet preparation requires gentle self-discipline. On the retreat, all meals are provided and strictly adhere to diet restrictions, but before and after is up to you. The more you adhere to the diet, the more you will benefit from the process. You are preparing your whole self to accept the highest good that the plant medicines can provide. Please see our Resources page for more guidance.

Reviews

Moises and Amy are honest and our world is better for their passionate music and healing energies within ceremonial gatherings. I trust them with my life, my family and would recommend anyone seeking gentleness, warmth and healing to come to them - they are true and faithful friends.

Kyle

My experiences participating in the ceremonies hosted by Moises have been beyond impactful. I went in with many fears but also much hope, and came out embracing my fear and my faith in myself as a powerful and creative human.

Matt

Muchas Gracias Moises. Thank you for sharing your healing nature and your divine medicine with this world. Moises, you have the unique ability to see each and everyone’s needs and to make us feel truly important. You are a huge inspiration to your fellow earthlings by being a great leader of love.
